12th July 2020 - Health Seminar Day

 

The Flatcoated Retriever Society will be holding a health seminar in Baginton, Warwickshire. The day starts at 9:30am and covers topics such as vaccinations, immune mediated disease, first aid and gait analysis from various speakers. Please follow the link to the right for further information on the day and how to book. The day is free for members and includes a buffet lunch.

5th April 2020 - Society Championship Show Patella Testing

 

At the Flatcoated Retriever Society Championship Show held at the Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire there will be health testing. Jane Alexander will be performing patella testing at £12 for a members. For further information on the testing and how to book, please follow the link to the right.

23rd February 2020 - AGM

 

Our AGM will be held at 10:30am St Nicholas Youth Centre, Godstone, Surrey, RH9 8DT. Please let Suzi Tagg know if you will be attending so we can ensure everyone gets a slice of cake! Please make sure any outstanding subscriptions have been paid by contacting Gemma our membership secretary.

19th April 2020 - Gundog Training Day

 

We will be holding a Beginner/Puppy and Lower Novice training day at Orchard Farm, Outwood, Redhill, Surrey RH1 5QR with kind permission of Mr & Mrs Ian Smith. The trainers will be Paul and Maddie Burr. There will be 2 sessions, Puppy/Beginners in the morning and Lower Novice in the afternoon, followed by Q&A. 25th May 2020 - Southern Flatcoated Retriever Club Championship Show

 

Unfortunatley we have had to cancel our championship show due to the Coronavirus. Apologies to everyone who was looking forward to the show. Our next championship show will be in 2021, we hope you will join us then!

26th May 2020 - Photo Competition

 

To try and entertain everyone the club held a photo competition with 3 catagories and 3 judges. There was an entry free for the competition which went to our health fund, and the winners all won a years free membership.

An amazing £150 was raised in the end, so thank you everyone for your participation. All the photos can be viewed on our facebook page. The results can be seen by following the link

14th June 2020 - Fun Online Dog Show

 

An online show was organised by Izabela, who did an amazing job so thank you. Many thanks also go to our judges, the Dog judge Gemma Jacobs, bitch judge Suzi Tagg, Best Retrieve judge Andrew Durrant, Best Trick judge Izabela Kulczycka and Best Junior Handling judge Abby Bellamy. A fantastic £533.83 was raised in total for our Health Fund, so thank you all so much for your generosity. We hope that you are all surviving during lockdown and are able to keep yourselves busy.To ensure that you and your dogs don't get bored, starting from the 3rd August we will be posting some training videos on our Facebook page and on this page. There will be a new one every day for a week, each based on specific excercises. They can be done by everyone and you don't need lots of space.
