17th February 2018 - Novice Gundog Training Day

 

We will be holding a training session with Howard Kirby of Mullenscote Gundogs on Saturday 17th February. Howard Kirby has been training dogs for more than twenty years, as the proprietor he divides his time between Mullenscote Dog Training Centre and Lains Shooting School.  Howard leads the team at Mullenscote and specialises in training and assisting handlers to get the best from their dogs. Howard and his Mullenscote Dog Training Team can be seen right across the country giving demonstrations and running clinics and seminars.

 

For more detailed information about the training please read the information below.  If you wish to attend please can you let Suzi know by email and she will reserve your place for 5 days to enable you to mail the form and cheque. If the funds are not received within this time the reserved space will be allocated to the next in line.

 

We expect this to be a very popular event, so please contact us early as there are only 16 spaces ! The training will be held near Andover in Hampshire. For more information and to download the application form, follow the links below.

25th February 2018 - AGM

 

The club will be holding its Annual General Meeting at St Nicholas Youth Centre, Godstone, Surrey, RH9 8DT. The meeting will start at 10:30am, please could you let Suzi Tagg know if you wish to attend or for apologies. The normal excellent spread of tea, coffee and delcicious home made cakes will be available. Please make sure any outstanding subscriptions are paid, contact Gemma or Suzi to organise this. We look forward to welcoming all our members to the meeting.

26th May 2018 - Club Champshionship Show

 

Our first Championship show was judged by David Hutchison (Waverton), a busy day was had by all, we would like to thank all the exhibitors for supporting our first show, and we hope everyone enjoyed their purple rosettes ! 2nd December 2018 - Club Open Show

 

We will be hosting our fabulous Christmas Open Show again at the usual venue of Testbourne Community School in Whitchurch, Hampshire. Our judges this year are Andrena Cowan (Andwalls) doing the Breed show, and Melissa Osbourne-Brown (Perrymel) who is doing the Special Award classes.

 

As with previous years, there will be no catering facilties available, so do remember to bring your own picnic, but tea and coffee will be available for purchase.

 

Please do support our Special Award classes, these classes allow aspiring judges to gain more experience. As such they do not count towards the 'Beaten dog' rule of the main breed classes.

 

Do please come and support the show, we have renowned or is that notorious? Christmas decorations and raffle. The paper entries close on the 5th November 2018, with online entries closing 17th November 2018.
